Studies have shown that the multiple complex health problems often found in the elderly population are most effectively addressed using an inter-professional team care delivery model. These interprofessional teams may include, in addition to nurses, doctors, social workers, occupational/physical therapists, psychologists/counselors, pharmacists, etc..

These videoconferenced eight 2-hour workshops (each Monday in March and April from 1 PM to 3 PM) will help train Nurses employed at the Area Agencies on Aging and community nurses in current knowledge about aging and behavioral health issues, and impart skills to develop and enable community-based teams of health professionals to prevent, assess, and treat these issues of community-dwelling older adults and at-risk spouses/caregivers.

When: 1:00 - 3:00 each Monday in March and April

Participants must attend all trainings to receive CEUs. Partial credit will not be awarded.
