Please note: You must be a current Certified Peer Specialist to attend this training. If you are not currently a Certified Peer Specialist and would like to become one, please visit www.papeersupportcoalition.org for more information.

This training will prepare current Certified Peer Specialists to utilize existing experience, skills and training to work with Older Adults living with behavioral health disorders. Training will include an understanding of mental health and co-occurring issues as they relate to aging issues.  Peers will increase their level of expertise while gaining specialized techniques that support Older Adults.

(CPS Certificate: Must provide copy of your Certified Peer Specialist Certificate via email, mail or fax to the PA Behavioral Health and Aging Coalition before the first day of training. (See below for addresses and fax number of where to send the copy of the certificate.)

Dates: Mon., March 12, Tues., March 13, & Wed., March 14, 2018

You must attend the entire training to receive certification. Partial credit cannot be awarded.

Time: 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. each day

Cost: $400 includes tuition, materials, breakfast, and lunch for all three days.  

Parking and entrance: It is the first main entrance before you go up the hill on Butler. Turn right, and then immediately turn left, and the building is on your left. Parking is on both sides of building.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS BY PARTICIPANT If it is necessary to cancel an enrollment, the total due less a 5% administrative fee will be reimbursed provided the cancellation is received in our office at least 5 business days prior to the first day of the training. Cancellations received less than 5 business days and registered no shows are not eligible for a refund and will be billed the total cost.
